My Biography

Djorhiz Ruel Bartolome’s journey in photography started in a simple and relatable way, taking candid photos around his school in Guinobatan, Albay using just a cellphone. What began as a quiet hobby in Grade 8 slowly grew into something more meaningful when one of his teachers noticed his work and encouraged him to continue. That support pushed him to take photography more seriously, leading him to document school events, activities, and everyday moments that often go unnoticed. Over the years, his experience shaped his style, focusing on natural, candid shots rather than relying heavily on technical setups. Now in his ninth year as a photographer, Djorhiz continues to capture stories that reflect real life in his community. His work shows that photography is not only about skill, but about seeing value in ordinary moments and turning them into images that people can connect with and remember.
